Class Legacy Program

Mission Statement To provide students the opportunity to contribute to their class legacy at Saint Louis University. We build tradition and foster school pride by educating students on the importance of philanthropy and their personal responsibility to contribute to the University. Purpose The purpose of the Class Legacy Program is to: educate students on the importance of philanthropy improve the quality of SLU academics generate support for scholarships, student activities, and programs influence the continued growth of SLU and its outstanding reputation. CLP 2011-2012 Participation Goal: The Class Legacy Program has set a goal of 25% class participation and $15,000 per class. We need you! Think your participation doesn’t matter? Think again. If only 25% of your classmates (average class size 1,400) made a $25 gift to SLU over the course of the next three years, your class would raise $35,000 to go towards your class gift. Where does your gift go? Your class will decide – scholarships, student development, campus ministry, etc. Your gift matters.”
Imagine university life without the Busch Student Center, Cook School of Business, the Clock Tower, Simon Recreation Center, the Allied Health and Parks buildings or the Village Apartments. These important features of Saint Louis University were made possible through the support of individuals who care about SLU’s progress and the students we educate. As a private institution, we depend on gifts from alumni, friends, parents and other students. You can join the tradition of alumni and student support that has helped build the University’s remarkable reputation.
